Inspector Clive Anderson and his assistant take on a peculiar case: A young ship engineer is found charred in his apartment after a fire that appears to be a domestic accident.
The autopsy reveals a massive slash from one end of his neck to the other. The prime suspect, a colleague of the victim is Josephine Hart, who has a dark past as a member of the religious set "Gathering of the Pure Heart". As Josephine departs on the ship Dante, various chilling events occur bringing troubles to the crew.
Is there something hidden in the ship?
